欢迎 ACPS 全球会议的各位伙伴们，我今天想谈谈美中不足。在英文里，"美中不足"最地道的翻译是 a fly in the ointment，药膏里的一只苍蝇，意思是完美之中的一点小瑕疵。但我今天想从汉语言文字的角度来谈谈"美中不足"这四个字，对这个成语的理解。
“美中不足”的“美”，是美国；“中”，是中国。但我认为仅仅依靠美国和中国两个国家，不足以支撑整个世界的发展。世上最稳定的形态是三角形，所以我们特别希望欧洲能够强大起来；在不远的将来，我也预测非洲会迎来崛起。现阶段，我们最需要的就是让欧洲强大起来，这也是我们投资欧洲、投资 ACPS、投资 AHLE 公司的重要原因，这是一条通向美好的道路。当然，另一个角度，德国加上中国，也会让德国更快达到新的高度。
再从汉字本身来看，“美中不足”的“美”，不只是英文里的完美或美丽，真正的美，一定是真的、也是善的。只有真与善结合，才是真正的美。
“中”，也不只是中国，更是古人讲的“不偏不倚谓之中”。我们和欧洲、和世界的合作，不是东风压倒西风，也不是西风压倒东风，而是要融为一体、成为一股风，成为一个有机的整体。一年前我在德国 AHLE 公司也讲过:通过沟通产生信任，在信任基础上实现双赢。信任的管理成本最低，也是卓越领导者的必备能力。
第三个字"不"，是否定。我想说的不是对别人的否定，而是自我否定。寒风励志，视今天为落后，是我们企业文化里很重要的一句话。即使在今天这样春风习习中，我们依然要能够记得寒风凛冽的日子，能够居安思危，时刻感觉到挑战与压力。只有视今天为落后，我们才会有追求卓越的心，超越自我的心，才能永葆青春与活力。
第四个字"足"，本义是脚。中国还有句成语叫"知足常乐"。我希望我们每一位领导人和身边的每一个人，在个人生活、家庭方面都能知足常乐。在追求事业卓越的同时，保持内心的平和与知足，才能更好地守住我们追求真善美的初心。

“A fly in the ointment，Charting a Bright Future.”—Remarks by Chairman Zhang Bihong during the visit of the ACPS Global Conference delegation to Meili Technology:
From March 10 to 12, the ACPS Group Global Conference was held in China. During the event, 22 corporate representatives from Germany, Hungary, Mexico, the United States, and other countries visited Meili Technology, where Chairman Zhang Bihong and senior executives hosted them throughout their visit. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including smart manufacturing, human resources, financial management, and industrial cooperation. ACPS CEO Michael Weiss conducted specialized training on AI applications, while Chairman Zhang Bihong delivered a keynote speech titled “A fly in the ointment,” jointly promoting corporate internationalization and digital transformation.
Dear partners from the ACPS Global Conference,Today, I want to talk about the Chinese idiom "Mei Zhong Bu Zu". In English, its most idiomatic translation is "a fly in the ointment"— which means a small flaw in something otherwise perfect. But today, I want to talk about my understanding of these four characters from the perspective of Chinese language and characters.
In "Mei Zhong Bu Zu","Mei" refers to the United States, and "Zhong" refers to China. But I believe that the United States and China alone are not enough to support the development of the entire world. The most stable form in the world is a triangle, so we particularly hope that Europe will become strong; in the near future, I also predict that Africa will rise. At this stage, what we need most is to make Europe strong, which is also an important reason why we invest in Europe, in ACPS, and in Meili Germany GmbH（Ahle）— this is a path leading to a better future. Of course, from another perspective, the combination of Germany and China will also help Germany reach new heights faster.
Looking at the Chinese characters themselves,"Mei" in "Mei Zhong Bu Zu" is more than just "perfection" or "beauty" in English. True beauty must be both true and good, and only the combination of truth and goodness is real beauty.
"Zhong" is not only China, but also the ancient concept of "impartiality without bias". Our cooperation with Europe and the world is neither about one side overwhelming the other, nor about the west overwhelming the east. Instead, we should integrate into one, become a single force, and form an organic whole. A year ago, I also said at Meili Germany’s: Trust is generated through communication, and win-win results are achieved on the basis of trust. Trust has the lowest management cost and is also an essential ability for outstanding leaders.
The third character "Bu" means negation, but what I want to say is not the negation of others, but self-negation."Adversity strengthens resolve; regard today as backward"— this is an important part in our corporate culture. Even in such a favorable environment today, we still need to remember the harsh days, stay alert in times of peace, and always feel the challenges and pressures. Only by regarding today as backward can we have the desire to pursue excellence, the determination to surpass ourselves, and thus keep our vitality forever.
The fourth character "Zu" originally means "foot". There is another Chinese idiom:"Contentment brings lasting joy." I hope every leader and everyone around us can practice contentment in personal life and family. While pursuing career excellence, maintaining inner peace and contentment can help us better uphold our original aspiration of pursuing truth, goodness and beauty.
